About The Block

The Block is 300sqm of mixed-use space for Individuals, Groups, Clubs, Small Orgs and Collectives to meet, work, learn, practice, sell, perform, invent, play.

We offer an environment that promotes starting up, trying out, experimenting, discovering new, by using low risk, low cost means, sharing economics and support pathways.

We offer flexible leasing arrangements, modular layout and event programming, with bespoke facilities available for a range of needs. If we don’t have what you need, let’s talk, and we can help create it. We started from very little, and we are constantly building and improving, by working together.

We programme concurrent activity to bring people together, to mix worlds and create a better whole. We are stronger when we are many things.

We are particularly supportive of small local, niche and independent groups.

We are closely connected with the central city, but offer an environment with a sense of home.

We can be found in the centre of Stanmore, a 10 minute walk neighbourhood, a community of communities, and we are many things to many people.
